What is premises liability?

Very simply put it is looking out for your neighbor, whether it’s your house, as a homeowner, whether it’s your parking lot, as a business, or your lobby or your hallway. You have a premises. You have property you own or control and on that property, there are going to be people that walk and enter and exit on that property. And, your duty is to make sure that it’s as safe as practical.

And, it’s a very simple case when someone breaks that rule. When they decide not to look after their neighbor and you get injured as a result of that, you can have a premise liability suit.
