How long will it take to resolve my medical malpractice case?
Transcript
Any type of case, we want to get that case resolved as quickly as you do. Certainly the easiest way we’ve found to get a case resolved is to get it ready for trial. We get the experts in as early as possible. And, in a medical negligence case you have to have an expert. You have to have an expert issue a certificate of merit before you can even file the case. So, understand when you talk to us about your medical malpractice case we’re going to have a reviewed by an expert very, very quickly. And that expert will tell us whether or not the standard of care has been breached and whether it resulted in an injury. If we have that, at least, under the laws of West Virginia you then notify, let the doctor know about it and they have a chance to go into early mediation. So there is a chance your case could resolve quickly. On the other hand, there is a change the case would have to be tried and we’re certainly ready to do that. So, if you want us to have a look at it or more importantly, have an expert look at your case, call Bailey Javins & Carter.
